Barrow Hill

What a good night, great music and atmosphere. The guest DJ Dougie Hall played an excellent spot of across the board soul. Also great spots from both the regular DJ'S Stuart and Keith. Thank you to everyone who attended to make this yet another wonderful night to remember. Hope to see you all again next month, June 7th. With guest DJ Steve Austin from Bestwood.

Calow

I can't believe how fast this month has gone. It doesn't seem more than a few days since the opening night of the Calow soul venue. I'm really looking forward to tonight and hoping it will be as enjoyable as last month. This venue has one of the best dance floors in the area. Almost as good as Barrow Hill, ;-). Also another advantage for me is it's only 5 miles from my home.

Barrow Hill Soul Club - April 5th 7.30 'til late

I'm looking forward to Barrow Hill tomorrow night. The guest DJ is Al Taylor. There will be free CD's on the door as it's our 3rd anniversary. If you haven't been before you won't be disappointed. It's across the board soul music with a superb dance floor, what more could you ask for! See you there.

Calow Soul Night

What a great first night at Calow. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was not at all disappointed. The venue was really good with a brilliant dance floor. There were enough people for a nice atmosphere but not packed, probably due to the Skegness weekender. I'm looking forward to the next one now at the end of April.

Prestatyn

Sorry I haven't presented any posts lately. I've been really busy with house guests recently. Prestatyn seems a long time ago and the weekend went so fast that it felt like it never really happened. I spent most of my time in the modern and crossover rooms and thought Soul Sam did excellent spots. All the acts were exceptionally good, I really enjoyed them. I'm hoping to go back in October as it's my birthday weekend and I would love to see the Spinners.

Bestwood

Had a good night at Bestwood. There were plenty in and it was nice to see a few people which I hadn't seen for a while. The music was good, but I expected to hear more modern. Steve Austin did a good spot even though he forgot to play my request. He's in trouble next time I see him, lol. It's Barrow Hill next Saturday with Guest DJ, Barry Cooper. Keith is away on holiday so it's thanks to Neil Page, who will be helping out again. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Prestatyn

Only six weeks to Prestatyn. I'm really looking forward to it as usual. I have heard a rumour that this will be the last one, hopefully it's not true. Anyway whatever the outcome I'm sure it will be another enjoyable weekender.
