I'm looking forward to the Qube in Sheffield tomorrow night. I can't see how it can fail to be anything but a great night as my favourite DJ Soul Sam will be appearing. It's their 8th anniversary so it should be a good night all round.

Barrow Hill

What a great night at Barrow Hill last Saturday. There were plenty in, making a good atmosphere with the dance floor mainly full, throughout the night. All DJ's played great spots, Stuart, Keith, guest DJ Martin Dixon and Terry Westhead (making his debut). On the whole a wonderful night of across the board soul. What more could you ask for! Next month at Barrow Hill Oct 4th is a special wedding reception night as Stuart and I are to be married in Las Vegas Sept 24th. All soul fans are invited. See you there.

I've just heard the sad news, one of my favourite singers Jackie Lee has passed away. He has entertained me with his brilliant music for 35 years. Here are a few of his records which I have always enjoyed dancing to.

Vault Of Soul

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to the Qube in Sheffield last night. The music was excellent from all DJ'S. It was mostly crossover which was a bonus, as I don't seem to hear enough of it these days. I made the most of it with lots of dances. Thank you for a great night out. I shall definitely be back.

Barrow Hill Soul Club

I think everyone had a good time at Barrow Hill Soul Club Saturday night. The dance floor was busy most of the night thanks to great spots from Stuart, Keith and Chris. Stuart and I shall have to miss next month due to my son Daniel and fiance' Meg getting married the day before in Missouri. Neil shall be helping Keith in Stuart's absence with Guest DJ Glyn Sissons.
